The Grays Harbor EDC
The Grays Harbor Economic Development Council is a private nonprofit 501(c6) corporation dedicated to the creation and retention of family wage jobs in Grays Harbor County. The organization was founded in 1981 under the name "Grays Harbor Opportunity 80's", which was changed in 1988.
The EDC's mission is to assist local government and businesses to promote the overall economic vitality of the county and its communities, to market and capitalize on the County's assets, and to promote the natural beauty and bounty of the Grays Harbor area.
The Grays Harbor EDC maintains a small staff of experienced business professionals who focus their efforts on industry and business recruitment, retention, expansion and assistance. Staff members act as facilitators to obtain financing, grants, training and workforce sources. They also collect and disseminate demographic, economic and vital statistical information and provide information on the state of the Grays Harbor Economy.
The Economic Development Council's services are free and confidential to community businesses and companies. The EDC is a valuable resource for businesses looking to relocate, expand or resolve problems anywhere in Grays Harbor County. The staff has at its disposal a wide range of resources, talents and expertise locally and across the nation to help you. We work closely with government and industry leaders to remain current and provide information on legislation and issues affecting the business community.

If it weren't for the EDC, there is a good chance we would not have stayed."
"The EDC was a big help when we had to make a decision to remain in Grays Harbor or locate elsewhere. They provided assistance in searching for property, zoning issues, financial assistance and tax benefits.
